You're right because all of those NFL defenses he'll face will be practically the same quality guys he faced against Fresno State.
Bush has got to be one of the fastest guys ever on the football field... I don't like USC as much as the next person and at one time thought Bush was way overrated, but after watching the game last night and seeing a couple other games this year he is clearly the best player in the country and possibly of all time as stated above. I don't know what he has timed, but I would bet it's close to the nearly mythical 4.2 range.
Bush is really slippery... but in the NFL, you can be as slippery as you want... Ray Lewis and the boys will go get you...
I agree. Bush has dominated since he set foot on the college gridiron. I know Leinart gets most of the pub and last years heisman, but if Bush ain't on that team, they have no rings. And it will be interesting to see if he has that dominance on the next level. It will greatly depend on which team he goes to. If for some fluke reason he goes to the Saints, his career's f*cked. But if he stays on the west coast in SF, he could have a great career. I know SF is down right now, but it looks like Nolan might get them back where they once were.
I've been watching this kid since he was playing high school ball in San Diego. He was a fairly humble kid until last year. Now this kid's ego is out of sight. I guess that's what happens when everyone tells you that you are the greatest thing since sliced bread. As for on the field he is unreal. I'm hoping the Saints have the guts to pull the trigger on this pick and make him a top 3 pick. I would much rather have him than Leinart.
I was watching the game at the tailgate after the win last night...game was on Fox Sports West...these announcers were soooo pro USC it was rediculous. On USC's first drive of the 2nd half, Bush made a long run and put a couple of moves along the way. As they showed the replay, one of the announcers said, 'only 2 or 3 people in the history of football could make that move'. I had to take another sip on that one!
I think you're right. He's definitely the best college player I've seen since Bo Jackson. "Barry Sanders with more intensity" sounds perfect. He has that killer, get pissed off and take it out on the competition mentality. Barring a terrible injury, he's going to Canton. No joke.
Quick question. Who is the last big name back from the PAC-10 to be a star in the NFL? It's been a while since we've seen one. Corey Dillon? Marcus Allen before that. Being successful in an offensive conference doesn't guarantee success at the next level.
