Have you seen the left at work at Cal Berkeley. The left has gotten so bad that even some of their own complained about the treatment of ann coulter. The liberal left only likes free speech if you agree with them. That's as far as their use for the constitution takes them. That is why the liberal media is doing everything they can to destroy this country because they hate freedom.

Well KIki it's on us to maintain the faith and discipline to keep its meaning. I agree there is pressure from the extreme left. That includes Bernie Sanders and much of the democrat rank and file, the antifas and socialists. It also includes the extreme right, Nazis, Klan and others. I don't see it in the Republican Party except those Trump has brought with him. As Franklin when asked just after the constitutional convention ended what type of government we have said "A republic if you can keep it." It's incumbent on every generation to renew the commitment to the ideal. However it can't be blind or static. Times change our society changes and we strive to be and do better. Look at so much that was accepted as normal 50 or 100 years ago , Jim Crow, no women's sufferage, child labor etc that were glad to be eradicated. Change for the sake of change is bad....change where needed is lifesaving. Holding to principle no matter what the risk is the only thing that will save us.
Agree, but there is a process for change to the document and last time I checked it isn't through the courts. The people through their elected reps should have a voice for change not a single judge.
The Berkeley thing sickens me. That place is supposed to be known for free speech. And now they try to restrict it. Makes me think of them as when Christians were persecuted and after the fall of the Roman Empire they took advantage of the Vacuum created by it and started doing the same thing to perceived heretics.
