He doesn't have any issues with the coaching staff. I hear that he doesn't practice hard, often complaining of dizzyness or whatever to try to get out of running. That is why he isn't playing much.

With Delvin Breaux's injury that puts us at 18 scholarships. I really believe we will sign 28. So that leaves us 10 to sign.

Thats awesome news then. I thought we only had around 6-7 scholarships left. With that many left LSU can really clean up with the players the coaches want. Not have to pick and choose as much.

If we sign 28 then we are taking 3 to 5 non-qualifiers. Don't we have a grayshirt or two from last year to find room for?

Refresh my memory, what's Delvin Breaux's injury? and how does it effect his commitment to us?

and looking at our current commitment list, Phelon Jones has been a HUGE pickup for us because after next season when Chevis Jackson and Zenon graduate, we'll need some corners (which no doubt will be the target position for recruiting next year).

You can never have enough corners because its difficult to guage if they will pan out. LSU has Jai Eugene from last year. Im imagining that John Williams will be a CB. Also, LSU may be able to get Brandon Paul out of Florida this year.

Next season doesn't look worrisome with:

Chevis Jackson and Zenon returning to man their starting spots and probably Jai Eugene playing either Nickel or Dime but it gets pretty thin for '08 on the corner position in terms of experience.

Delvin broke his neck & we have one player that didn't qualify last year that will sign with this class - Shamori Clemmons, no grey shirts.

We definitely needed 2 CBs in this class, too bad we couldn't get Eric Berry. John Williams & Phelon are the 2 we have though, and I'm happy with them. Plus, Gabriel Bryant could possibly play corner if needed. We're also still recruiting Ron Brooks as an athlete with an emphasis on CB.
