Blackwell will likely don crimson next year. His family is Saban friendly, and he also has family near T-town. Saban pretty much got whoever he wanted from West Monroe while he was here.

Honestly, wouldn't shock me to see Blackwell end up at Bama - although I haven't heard anything about it at this point. Saban got almost whoever he wanted from everywhere in La when he was the coach at LSU. That is not the case anymore.

I guarantee you Miles will reserve scholarships for Jones, McKnight and Tolliver. Indications are that Barksdale has already made his committment and has informed the schools of his decision. Based on what he has said, there is a strong likelihood that he has committed to LSU, but his decision will not be officially announced until the Army All-American game.

Hearing that McKnight has said he's made his decision but will wait to announce.......hard to believe since he hasn't made official visits to LSU and/or USC but with Saban's hiring and connection with John Curtis HS coach it worries me to think of the impossible happening again.

McKnight won't go to Alabama because Saban is a defensive guy. He's either LSU or USC.

McKnight said that he had made his decision before Saban became head coach at Bama... not sure whether that has changed or not.

Saban managed to recruit pretty well on both sides of the ball while at LSU, I wouldn't say an offensive recruit is out of the question just because defense is Saban's preferred side of the ball.

Good point. I think he plans on LSU, but will wait until both visits(LSU/USC) to announce. I seriously doubt he would sell his soul to the devil and go to Bama.

Thanks to both of you for putting my mind at ease, you both seem to be pretty up to snuff on the recruiting so I hope you are right. I will be seriously disappointed if we don't get McKnight and Chad Jones.

I'm wonderd this before, but wil Rahim Alem's relationship (or lack thereof) with the coaching staff be an issue? Nobody's talking about it.

This kid was supposed to be a high potential prospect, and a bigtime get out of St. Aug in New Orleans... and he hasn't sniffed the field.
