You should be 'not one to get on officials' because you are a Bama fan. Seems to be an inherent affinity.
Whatever dude....if you watched the game you could see how they really didn't have control over it and missed SEVERAL calls.
'Bama's offense is struggling. Today's game makes what? 2 TD's in the last 12 quarters for the Tide? To their benefit, their defense is pitching shut-outs of their own but you have to wonder that in any game against them, if you score 2 TD's, will their offense be able to respond and answer? The problem about 'Bama that worries me a bit is Darby. He is a very good running back--probably one of the league's most underrated RB's. He's ellusive--which scares me a bit because I just don't think we're a very sound tackling team. We haven't been a good tackling team for a few years now. We seem to have a bad habbit of initially stopping the ball carrier either behind the line, or for a minimal gain, only to somehow slip off, allowing them to break free for additional yardage. Croyle is good enough (understatement) to keep defenses from stacking the line, so the play of our front four and our linebackers need to be solid in bottleing up their running game so that our secondary can stay back in coverage. Depending on the severity of that O-lineman's injury for 'Bama today, if he's out, then they lose valuable experience on their line. Since they had to cart the guy off the field in a "boot", one would think that if he plays against us next week, that he'll be less than 100%, so we need to take advantage of that. We're going to need Williams and Wroten to be able to consistantly get into the backfield to disrupt the play, and equally as important, we need Vaughn, Highsmith, Hollis and Kuale to be "Johnny-on-the-spot" and wrap up on their tackles.
It's broken. He's out. He was our only senior on the Oline but, his replacement is a senior so it's not as bad as it could be. It's Taylor Britt, a transfer from UAB. The name may sound familiar because he's Wesley Britt's brother. Wesley Britt was maybe our best OL ever.
