bottom line- if you can only hit in the mid 60's free throw %, you're going no where, esp when your best player and most frequent free thrower shoots in that range. 50% last night for MSU just aint gonna cut it. It doesn't matter how good you are, when teams get into the post season, there will be close games decided by, you guessed it, FTs. LSU, on the other hand, a great FT team, beat MSU on the boards for some easy put backs which offset its less than stellar FT shooting last night. nice win for john brady and the tigers.
without frazier, msu is very similar to lsu. davis is better than campell. power and hud are similar. then there are two short guards. i like ervin as a pg---he and minor are very similar. minor is better at the top of his game, but he's often not there. then there are a few role players. i think the game is closer if sharpe plays. he did great against us @ lsu. why did he only play a few min? in comparing bass and roberts--roberts is still more polished, more in control of himself, more consistent. bass is more active, probably more potential, but less consistent. looked like bass is giving up an inch or two to roberts to, didnt it?
Very true gumborue. When I was at the 1st LSU-MooU game, I was very impressed w/Sharpe - I believe he's a freshman too. He came into Baton Rouge and did not show a bit of hesitancy (is that a word? )
Here to take mine as well. :bncry: Bass is a hoss. We were outplayed and out coached last night. Good luck the rest of the year Tigers.
Or, "He was not hesitant as he traveled to Baton Rouge to play the game of basket ball against the fighting tigers of LSU."
