why should anyone care if you or anyone is offended. if he's good, ppl will see him and buy tickets. if he's not then so be it. he will need a new job. let's all take a poll to see if someone may be offended before you or I or anyone else speaks again. speaking of double standards crossing racial lines, sheesh.

White people and Hispanics have been playing the parts of Indians in movies for years. I have seen Ricardo Montalban play the parts of Indian chiefs in several old movies. His portrayals never ridiculed or demeaned the American Indian. If a white guy disguises himself to look like a black man and tells racist jokes and plays to stereotypes it is offensive. If he is believable as a comedian who happens to look like a black man it might be not only funny and entertaining but if the actor is good enough believable. There was an old skit on Saturday Night Live where Eddie Murphy disguises himself as a white man. It was hilarious. Why should I be offended? A couple of scenes I remember were when Eddie applied for a loan and the loan officer said "You don't need any collateral. You're one of us." and then shoves piles of money across his desk to Eddie. Another scene was where Eddie was on a bus full of white people except for one old black lady. When the black lady gets off the bus all the white people break out singing.

Anybody can file a lawsuit. Winning is another matter. Being offended is not considered "damages". And if some lame jury feels it is then no insurance policy will cover it as "damages". And if there is no insurance coverage, there is no recovery in most cases. Plaintiff lawyers 1st area of investigation is into how much insurance is available. If a tort feasor has $50,000 in liability coverage, a broken leg is worth $50,000. If that same civil wrongdoer has $1 Million in coverage, that same broken leg is "worth" $500,000.

When I go to any "predominately white" night club in BR, there is a mixture of races, and no problems except your random drunks. The question--- If I were to go to a "predominately black" night club in scotlandville would I be Harrassed??? Anxiously awaiting an honest answer!!
