I’m a big John Grisham fan. I read The Confession last summer. GREAT book, it is about a young man that confessed to a murder he didn’t commit. I also just finished The Litigators. It was good but not great. As an attorney I enjoyed it, I’m not sure how others would see it. It is about a young attorney that had a nervous breakdown, quit his big law firm and started working for a little two person firm ran by ambulance chasers. It is his attempt at comedy. I give it a 7 out of 10. Now I’m in the Games of Thrones Series. A Song of Fire and Ice was awesome. Just started the second book.
I read the Hunger Games trilogy a couple of weeks ago. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It gets compared a lot to the Twilight series, which is unfair because Suzanne Collins is a much better writer than Stephenie Meyer (though I enjoyed the Twilight series for what it was--a fun read). The Hunger Games trilogy is much deeper, and Katniss Everdeen is a far better female character than Bella Swan. She's a strong woman.
The Hunger Games should NEVER be compared to the Twilight Series. I liked the movie a lot, I plan on reading the series before the next movie comes out.
Last year: The Hunger Games... Loved the series The Rho Agenda Trilogy, third book comes out in November Neuromancer Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? I read the John Carter series, actually liked the Movie more than the books... The books are a bit slow, and leave lots to the imagination.
American Sniper, by Chris Kyle. A decent read, but it is all over the place. I don't think it was edited very well. http://www.harpercollins.com/books/American-Sniper/?isbn=9780062082350
I've got some updating to do so here goes. The Girl Next Door was a very disturbing book. Nothing like the Will Smith movie "I am Legend."
