I have four open at present. 1. In the King's Name by Alexander Kent -- another in my quest to read every novel still in print from the classic days of sailing ships. 2. The Street Railways of New Orleans -- found in a used book store for $4, Damned interesting look at 100 years of Streetcars in New Orleans. It is amazing just how many streets had a streetcar line in NOLA in the 1930's. Nowhere in the city was more than a few blocks from a streetcar line. 3. Saxons, Vikings, and Celts: The Genetic Roots of Britain and Ireland by Bryan Sykes -- Trying to learn more of my English ancestry. 4. The Time Machine by H. G. Wells -- a free Ebook. i'm using iBooks and Kindle to re-read some classics.
Right now I'm reading Abraham Lincoln - Vampire Hunter. Much different that I thought it was going to be. I love this book so far. the wife really enjoyed it to. Of course, the movie is coming out soon. I'd highly recommend this book. It's extremely interesting and well written.
recently finished Ender's Game. this is the 2nd time I've read this book. If you've never read it, you need to. I promise you that you will like it. It's sci-fi. They are also going to make it into a movie. It's a quick and very easy read.
I am currently in the middle of D-Day by Stephen Ambrose, of course it is excellent and made even more special by having recently been to Normandy.
