Alleva and Fking are desperately trying to save their jobs, I wouldn't rule anything out. I'm sure Briles contacts were contacting LSU before Miles had left the building. I think they will meet stiff resistance if he becomes the primary target. I really don't see that happening.

A Briles hire imo would be the end of LSU football as we know it. He'll kill what's left of this program. He also has no clue that defense wins championships. I guess LSU can lose pretty airing it out 80x a game.

I don't think it would be the end, but he might have trouble recruiting with his past. With the right DC he might would have been successful at a major power before the scandal. He would have a much tougher road now. I for one don't want him unless evidence comes out exonerating him.

Might want to wait and see how the NCAA comes down on Ole Piss before making that kind of statement. But my response would be a resounding no thx.

I just hope Briles isn't a serious consideration, I would've rather kept Miles than have him.

I would rather the Petersen at Boise State. Did so much with so little talent.

In his 3rd year at Washington with many of his own recruits now, they are 4-0 and ranked 8th in the nation.

In a 7 year stretch at Boise State, he went 84-8 (79-6 in the regular season).

Of his 8 losses, 6 of them were 3 points or less. The two other losses were within two scores (lost by 13, 14 points respectively). In one of those two games, they actually held a 1 point lead late in the 3rd quarter. The other was a 24-10 deficit at the half in which neither scored after that.

Most importantly he went 8-4 against teams ranked in the top 25.

Innovative offense and a scrappy defense that was extremely well coached to compensate for their lack of athleticism. His one weakness was not having a reliable field goal kicker (aka Sean Payton syndrome) that cost them 3 or 4 of the 8 losses.
