I have zero interest in Briles. The dude made too big of a mistake to come to LSU.

As for Herman, he is clearly the top choice IMO. I read of him claiming no contact we shall see. I could honestly see him staying at Houston. He has a great recruiting base. An easy road to an unbeaten season and potential BCS game. He is well paid.

Another obstacle is that USC is also most likely going to be in the hunt for a new coach.

I just hope that we do not go after Fisher again. I do not at all see the allure in him.

I'd rather go after Kiffin. I know that sounds horrible. However I do think he will be a good coach at his next stop. Coaching under Saban is also a great learning experience.

If somehow Coach O can win out or maybe lose one game but beat Bama I think he deserves serious consideration as well. Especially if Herman is out of the question.

Hell no on Kiffin, unless it's as OC.

Just saying, I'd take him over Jimbo. I don't at all see the allure of Jimbo. If Alleva wasn't such a dumb ass we should have gone after Herman last year.

Yes, Herman should have been the choice last year. However Kiffin has been an utter failure as a HC and a cancer everywhere he's been other than Bama. If Saban wasn't such a king I don't think he could keep Kiffin from tripping over his dick off the field. He's been very good as an OC under the dicktater. I'm also not a big Jimbo fan, but he would probably be better than Miles.

They need to fire dumb ass Alleva before he ruins LSU some more. He botched the whole thing last year, turning it into a fiasco. Then because of poor planning he was burned by Fisher and stuck with Miles. Now he may blow the opportunity to get Herman if he were to come here.

I absolutely HATE the thought of Briles. He brings zero D, but more so on principle with all the rape allegations. He is bad news IMO. I'd have rather kept Miles. At least he has integrity.

There can't be any truth to LSU having a serious interest in Briles.

I'd like to think that's the case but with Alleva leading the way I don't doubt anything. He is worse than Miles.

Totally agree. What has changed from last October to now? Why wasn't the move made then? Ultimately, I'm kind of glad because we probably aren't getting Fisher, but we could do worse (see UGA).

Well, for one we actually have a vacancy that they have to fill. Secondly Fking and Allevas job probably depends on them getting it right this time and they know it. However I have no faith in either one of them. Hopefully they are getting plenty of help from people better equipped to handle the job.

I didn't have faith before the axe dropped, but now I'm intrigued. I'm disappointed it didn't happen correctly last year, but tickled that someone nutted up and made the move this soon.
