agree, Briles like Petrino are complete douche bags - we set a standard with Les's character - those two are complete assholes who don't care about players or the university
Considering the basement Baylor lived in it was expected that Baylor would save to rely on a supreme O and sacrifice somewhere with the talent. I said it in another thread. We survived 3 DCS in 3 years and the hasn't been the problem once.
What am I missing on Petrino? I thought he just hooked up with a younger girl. Is there more to the story that I'm missing?
Hopefully this won't be as public as last time. That hurt the search big time. Coaches don't want to be seen as looking mid season when they have a job. That could run off some top coaching prospects. As much as we want info, the program is best served with a large dose of privacy and closed mouths. They did a horrible job of controlling that last year and that may have doomed the search.
Bailing on his NFL team and heading back to College in the middle of the season, and I believe he left a note in their lockers to tell them. Oh, and I believe the young girl was an employee who was a student athlete at Arkansas, and was engaged at the time. He's a heck of a coach, but I don't like him to be the face of LSU.
I liked Briles until it was discovered what a complete dick hole he was. All in with Herman, but I will say this. ANY negotiations with him will need to be kept ultra secret. If he finds himself in a situation like Miles was in with the 'Herstreit reports Miles to Mich' debacle, it will hurt our chances to get him. I don't think he will risk the season his players are having to constantly answer questions about LSU. Unless he just comes right out and dismisses interest right away.
