I have seen it all now, it's not enough that progress in this country, is halted for such things as snail darters and spotted owls, but now we can't even slander a blowme sandwich, in an attempt to unify.

Your rejecting, the Our way or nothing tone, well last time I looked, your team lost, so I doubt you'll be rejecting much of anything for awhile.

You will have to show me where we have tried to dictate or legislate morality. I have not seen anyone from the right trying to force God on anyone, but I have certainly seen your side pushing God out.

"There where way too many reasons not to vote conservative"
    Care to share a few?

Nothing wrong with your opinion either, and thanks for the civil reply.
We could debate who fell for what, etc. or even the urgent need we have for a valid 3rd party, but the thread purported to be about coming together to heal and unify our country.
My response was that the tone didn't convey unity. And it doesn't.
Plus, it denegrated bologna, which is as bad as some of my land-locked nieghbors turning up their noses to oysters and crawfish pie. :yelwink2:

The problem with the democrats is they no longer represent mainstream America. The party has allowed itself to be dominated by a handful (well maybe more than a handful) of left-wing nuts. Look at who the party leaders were in this election - Kerry, Edwards, Hillary Clinton, Al Gore, Terry McCauliffe, and yes even Howard Dean played a big role. Not to mention all the help they got from Hollywood and George Soros. These people are much more out of touch with the average American than the republican leadership. From the looks of things, if they are going to back Hillary in '08 it's only going to get worse. If the republicans put a moderate out there like Rudy or McCain, they'll win in a landslide. The democratic party isn't anything close to what it used to be, and it looks like a large portion of America has realized that.

It's just a forum Tirk, this isn't Grad school. It's meant to be somewhat fun. Hence the picture and the post about liberals and bologna.

It's not personal or meant to be confrontational.

I know it's difficult, but try to resist your overwhelming desire to hang on every post I make. You are certainly welcome to critique my posts, but this clingy " hang on every word" problem is not healthy.

This would seem to be a self esteem issue? I'm certainly no psch. Prof.

I do not find it necessary to post or even waste my time pointing out every grammar error you make.

Heck, I don't even READ all your posts. Nothing personal, I just don't spend half a day on here. An hour here, 15 minutes there, maybe more time on game day, you know. If you post something interesting, I read it. No special treatment.

To me if you have that much spare time you need a hobby of some sort. Then again maybe it IS your hobby I don't know, nor do I care. You are welcome to continue if you like. Whatever spins your crank I suppose.

try some time away, you take this WAY too serious. turn the machine off for once, Read a book, play some golf, do whatever it is that will alleviate your paranoia. ok maybe paranoia is a strong word, I don't know what it is but like I said man, it doesn't bother me, but I can't imagine what your reasoning is? It's humorous but kind of sad too.

Take this advice with a grain of salt, I mean you no ill will.

take it light man life's too short to always quibble over typos and little stuff.

    take care.

It was A joke man lighten up Jesus.
    I like bologna, myself.
You people are seriously uptight. there are lots of jokes floating around about conservatives and they can be quite funny.
Heck man, I'd cook you a steak at a tailgate party, we're all Americans here.

and "my way or nothing" good God man I have no illusions as to that dream. that's ridiculous.
you make good points but you certainly flew off the handle about nothing, I am sorry you found the humor to be personally offensive.

    OK, good point.
Lightening up is probably good advise for us all.
I wasn't personally offended, I just felt bologna was under attack.
    :hihi: :hihi:
Thanks for the reply, we are all Americans here.

    Personnally,
As a compassionate conservative I try and get along with Liberal Democrats but some
of them are impossible to get along with such as Michael Moore, etc.

I say screw the media darlings, the liberals that want the president to give in and move left.

The Republican president WON with his agenda, its up to the left of this country to stop sleep walking and wake up and smell the coffee.
The Democrats are the ones that need to move to the right and come in line with
what the people in this country voted for.
