You get local channels in HD on Directv. I have them. Satellite only goes out if it is very, very bad weather. and it is only out like ten minutes when it goes out. LSU!

But, what if it is in the middle of a game? I might destroy the tv if that happened.

This must be some sort of business decision for Fox. It must make sense some how as a business to broadcast fox sports southwest instead. If they would make more money broadcasting southeast, I'm sure they would do it...

Southwest is only Texas, and South is Atlanta and a little Memphis so it regionally makes sence that we get Southwest. It's not like we're missing anything on Louisiana by not getting South.

but foxsports south has all kinds of SEC stuff that you dont get with Southwest. Like right now they have a 30 minutes football preview show devoted to each SEC and ACC team and when it's over they have the SEC and ACC conference preview.

You're getting Big 12 programming rather than SEC programming. LSU is in the SEC, remember?

In a perspective of college sports, Fox Sports South is of better benefit to us, but I do understand why we have southwest...

It is because of the pro sports...

Southwest talks about the Saints and the Hornets, and we are closer to the Texans/Rockets/Stros than we are the Falcons/Braves/Bucs etc...

It does make more sense for us collegiate fans to go with Fox Sports South b/c of the SEC Coverage. I live in Prairieville, and if you subscribe to Eatel's Digital Cable package, you get the entire fox lineup plus ESPN U. I am switching today.
