Re: Dexter Pratt Moffit, by all accounts, is very happy at LSU and signed an extension last year. I wouldn't expect him to leave anytime soon. He came in under Saban, I believe in 2002 after he helped Miami win the NC.
Re: Dexter Pratt Moffitt also wants to stay around his mentor, Gayle Hatch from what I have been told.
Re: Dexter Pratt Definitely check out more film. :thumb: I really think this guy runs with as much power as Alley, but with better moves in the open field. Another comparison I've seen is a "more powerful Fred Taylor", which I'm not sure if I agree with.
Re: Dexter Pratt I love Pratts size, always liked the taller backs, 6 2 is pretty impressive, hope we keep him at running back
Re: Dexter Pratt These prospects are very rare. I'm more than pleased with a group of RBs that all average over 5 ypc.
Re: Dexter Pratt Those game changer sas you call them don't grow on trees, they come along very infrequently. We had one in the 90's but he decided to break in homes and watch people sleep instead of playing football. Anyway, most of the best backs in football history have been more like a Pratt than a Sayers.
Re: Dexter Pratt Now I think we know why we didn't take Montrell Conner as a RB. I said then, that I thought we could look at it as a positive if we were not ready to offer such a top notch athlete. It looks like we had our reasons.
Re: Dexter Pratt His head coach on the newest LSU committment: "Honestly, I believe he's one of the top backs in the state of Texas in a long time," Fedora said. "I was talking to coach Porter and coach Miles from LSU and they were looking for a big back that had speed and a 227 pound kid that runs a 4.48 gives you everything that you need. He actually ran that 4.48 twice at a Texas camp. "They're also gonna find a team player. If there's anything that you ask of him, whether it's go up and block or go out and catch as a receiver, he's gonna do it no questions asked." Simply a Miles kinda guy. Welcome aboard.
