I assume you're counting Rawls in that number? Oklahoma's weakest position is at QB and Rawls couldn't even get a snap in practice. So he goes to UL-Ruston with 2 QBs ahead of him who, according to you, are better than Mauck? You better get off the Michigan State happy parade and check out the Fresno State film.

La. Tech is a dangerous team, when their offense is clicking. Unfortunately for them, it no longer strikes fear into anyone. They've only topped 30 points once this year, and that was against UL-Lafayette. And last year, everything completely fell apart. A cruel twist of fate, Tech gets a decent defense just when their offense stagnates.

As for beating Michigan State, hey, I'll give you guys credit, a heck of a comeback. But Michigan State is average at best. We are much better, we are honestly closer up to Miami. We are not Miami yet talent-wise at every position, but we don't have to be to overwhelm ya'll at most positions. And I'll guarantee you this, if you turn the ball over five times against us, you will lose and lose BADLY! Unlike Michigan St., LSU will make you pay in blood for every miscue.

Just go right ahead and underestimate Mauck. People have been underestimating Mauck since 2001, but all he does is win. 9-1 as a starter, 11-3 in games where he has seen more than 10 minutes of action. Luke McCown may rank high on the career yardage lists, but does he win? He's 14-20 as a starter over four years, so I would think the answer is no.

You guys have your own problems. Don't worry about us till the play week comes.

Answer me this Tech fan: Will Bicknell be fired after this season if he doesn't win six games? Rice, SMU, Tulsa, and UTEP should be automatic W's for ya'll (even though they weren't last year), so maybe ya'll will get there. But ya'll really didn't do well offensively at Fresno. So you have a lot to be worried about. Beating LSU is probably too much to hope for.

the only thing tech was good at was womens basketball....and we even beat you in that (not only beat you....sent you home)

i think Mauck is 10-1 as a starter...i seriously doubt tech has ever had a QB go 10-1.

    tech is a 1-aa team

I checked, its 9-1. He has started a total of 10 games: first 6 in 2002 (5-1) and the first 4 of 2003 (4-0). He played in several games in 2001, but Davey started them all. Also, Im seeing it as 11-2 in games that he played in, Jetstorm. Am I missing one?

    Wins:
    Tennessee (2001)
    MSU (2001)
    Florida (2002)
    ULL (2002)
    MSU (2002)
    Miami (2002)
    Citadel (2002)
    UGA (2003)
    WIU (2003)
    Arizona (2003)
    ULM (2003)

    Losses:
    Florida (2001)
    Va. Tech (2002)

Typo. I meant 11-2 in games where he has seen more than a quarter of action.

no, even if they are any good...no self respecting bowl would pick them. why? because nobody goes to their home games, and nobody will go to the bowl games either.

here are a few reasons for low attendance

    1) tech is gay
    2) tech's fans are gay
    3) the bowl game would get in the way of deer hunting

    OK...here we go again....

To answer the question about Bicknell, he should have been fired last year. He is ripping pages and pages out of the playbook that Conroy Hines (the really bad OC) has to work with. He has no heart and no imagination.

As far as Tech coming down here, it is hard for me to see, as I graduated from both schools and have great pride in what both have accomplished. I truly believe that had Tech had the chance to play LSU during the Gary Crowton era, it would have been a hell of a game, as LSU had a hard time stopping the pass under DiNardo/Tepper. Now, Tech has no chance. Not enough talent on offense, including McCown (too inconsistent), to keep the defense off the field.

Tech is very good at the mid major level (NOT D1-AA) and can surprise teams and coaches that overlook them. Saban will not allow that to happen and it should be a long night in Tiger Stadium for Tech.
