Wrong. An ideological balanced poll by respected scholars has W just above middle of the pack, ahead of Clinton. http://home.nyc.rr.com/taranto/average.htm
There is no right or wrong, just a bunch of opinions from a bunch of observers. Historians vs. George Bush Why Bush Will Become the Textbooks' Worst President The Worst President in History?
It does seem that the majority of opinoins I can find in print and online point to W as being a faliure.
You can forget any of this Sunni and Shia stuff when talking about Iraqi Arabs and Iranian Persians. Their ethnic hatred for one another runs far deeper than a petty little thing like Islam. The Shia and Sunni Arabs would fight tooth and nail to not be under the boot of some Persian with their gold curtain rods, white statues, and blue carpet.
This is from Republican Senator Chuck Hagel, it's in the Washington Post, but regardless, it is written by Hagel, hardly a moderate, or cut and runner, by any means. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/11/24/AR2006112401104.html America finds itself in a dangerous and isolated position in the world. We are perceived as a nation at war with Muslims. Unfortunately, that perception is gaining credibility in the Muslim world and for many years will complicate America's global credibility, purpose and leadership Iraq belongs to the 25 million Iraqis who live there. They will decide their fate and form of government.
The problem I have with Carter is that he still won't shut up. I respect his Humanitarian causes and I don't believe he's an evil person but when your name and "Worst President" are synonymous you should probably concentrate your efforts on something other than politics. Ford, Reagan, Bush, and Clinton have/had less to say about politics after leaving office and they were all better than the Peanut Farmer.
Indeed. And I hope W takes your advice as well. Clinton does a nice job except during election season. Then, his family ties get him into tight spots even he can't sweet talk his way out of.
