True, and you'd think they would have been able to capitalize on it but I would say big picture they have fallen flat on their face. Same for good ole free shoes U. Miami had a run in the 80's but all in all, just overrated just like atm
I am looking at this from a different angle. I would not put Bama at the top for 2 reasons. 1) they would have to follow in Sabans and the Bears footsteps and 2) the fan expectations would be astronomical given their entitlement attitude. That would put them way down on my list
With the right guy, watch out. Mullen might be the next Spurrier, and I don’t see him ever leaving. The Mullen hire is looking pretty good compared to some of the others going on.
Take your $10M and shove it? For a hot coach it would be hard not to take that job. The pressure would be immense, which comes with a huge paycheck wherever you go.
That's assuming the next coach would be offered that much. They would have to be pretty proven to get that much I would think.
