Tebow will be, at the least, adequate. It is their defense that will really struggle.

See, and I'm not one of those that is convienced that Tebow can be effective right away as a starter.

His success throwing the ball this past year has come after his trademark QB draws for 5 yards. When he's had multiple successful runs on draw plays, the defense would over-react and crash in only to see him pull the ball back and fling it down field for a big gain. ...or his improvisational "left-handed-jump-pass-at-the-goal-line"...

To his credit, he's strong and athletic enough to constantly gain 4-5 yards a pop on that stupid little draw play--and no one seemed to be able to put themselves in position to just unload on him when he did that.

I don't know the percentages off hand, but I'd be willing to bet that over 75% of the plays made when he was in last year were of him running a draw.

Now, I could be completely wrong and he could turn out to be this true "lights-out" passer (and gosh I hope that's NOT the case), but I still think he needs to show me more in the passing game before I start having sleepless nights about defending him over the coarse of an entire game.

Tebow had a pretty good Spring. He's not polished & he won't be great, but he'll be adequate. His ability to run will open some things up for him down field as well. Tebow is a hard, hard runner. Miles actually wanted him to run on us before the game because he though our defense would kill him, but he ended up plowing over a few of our guys.

They will also miss the 7 defensive players who were drafted (4 D-Linemen), 1 LB (and at least 1 other LB signing a FA contract).

Not to sound typical, but don't be surprised if you guys go to T-town and loose that game.

Forget the Saban thing, that 2005 OT debacle still has fans pissed off.

Is Alabama SUPPOSED to win that game? I doubt it, I mean, unless we have another freak year like 2002.

I think it will be a 17-14 type of score, either way.

Va Tech will be tough, but they have had QB problems.

I gotta agree. WHAT did Tebow do other than the bullcrap-at-the-goal-line-left-handed-pass crap? I'm yet to be impressed. I'm not even convinced he'll start for Florida. Gotta show me somethi View attachment 8822 ng first.

I can't wait, give us some Tebow.
