Because it's against the rules to argue in the other random thoughts thread?

Just about every thread is a random thoughts thread.

My wife made some chocolate cake, it tastes great.

Actually, I mistitled the thread. I just wanted some feed back on the 2 questions I posed.

    Re: Random thoughtst have no

So . . . let me get this right.

You start a thread and pose the question "Why does Obama get to "misread" or "have insufficient information" but George Bush "Lied to Americans"?

But when people respond and try to answer, you attack them for "Bush bashing". Bashing Clinton, of course is completely acceptable, even though he wasn't part of your question. :dis:

WTF do you think you are fooling?

You talk of how smart you are and it's true enough. The problem is that you imagine that the rest of us are stupid.

    Not stupid. Just misguided.

You have to admit that you do not think rationally when it comes to the Bush Administration.

Yet, Obama is ramming his big government agenda down our collective throats at light speed which will do irreparable harm in terms of lost businesses and jobs, and he gets a pass at every turn. Bash Bush all you want to, just quit trying to blame him for what Obama is doing to us.

I admit nothing of the kind. In fact I feel that way about your tireless defense of everything Bush.

Look, I bash Bush for what HE did and HE failed to do and I'm very clear about it. It upsets you more than it should. You talk about the deficit and blame it on Obama and tend to forget that the costs of two wars and recession bailouts were inherited from Bush. The solution is Obama's problem, but their existence is all on Bush.

Obama is taking on a lot with the Stimulus and Health Care plans and deserves all of the credit and blame if it succeeds or fails. But Bush had 8 years to get his business done and failed, yet you are pronouncing Obama a failure after less than 8 months, despite the problems he inherited.

I speak out at what I see for the future. I don't like what I see and read and hear about where this is leading.

What the economy was when Obama took over is of no import now. What's he doing to fix it? IMO, nothing. He claims his stimulus will save and create millions of jobs, yet 2 million have gone unemployed on his watch. He adjusts his projections on the fly, but I see nothing that trends positively. In addition, he's pushing programs (Healthcare, Cap and Trade) that do nothing but exert downward pressure on an already flailing economy.

This is not going to turn out in our favor.

I'm not going to chronically bitch after the fact.

But it has to be, it's not like he took over a booming economy and budget surpluses. You have to factor in the state of affairs when he took over.

He's only been president 6 months. It took years to get in this shape.

Why do I get the feeling that even if the economy improves you'll say it's inspite of Obama?
