    Last year alone

    1. Ole Miss - On the road ranked team
    2. UGA - in the SEC Title game - On the road in Atlanta, top 5 team
    3. OU - Sure it was in New Orleans but it was still a road game, it was not Tiger Stadium, and there were plenty of OU fans there.

If you want to toss 2002 in there, Florida was ranked when LSU hammered them.

If you are going to say the Sugar Bowl was a home game then the SEC title game was a home game for UGA...

So just curious and in the spirit of debate where did you get in the last 2 years LSU has beaten 1 ranked team on the road ? Do you mean only 1 regular season SEC team, of course that does not hold water because Florida was ranked and they only played 1 ranked team on the road last year in the regular season. That being Ole Miss. Which they beat.

Now if you are including this year, yes we lost to Auburn so with that said last year and this LSU is 3-1 against ranked opponents on the road.

That is an intangible that could work in Georgia's favor.

UGA currently has a 16 game winning streak in Sanford Stadium and Richt has asked the fans to be very vocal when LSU will be on offense.

But I think that it will come down to Georgia's O line.

Last season, Georgia's OL was made up entirely of Freshman and Sophomore Rookies. Now they have a year of experience and are not banged up like they were for the SECCG.

The UGA fans can get "very vocal" but it is not going to distract our offense. Might have been better if he advised the fans to be dead quiet. That's something LSU is not use to. Can you imagine Athens in complete silence. But to think the noise would bother us is absurd. Our boys play in Tiger Stadium and are more than capable of handling the noise.

    1. Ole Miss - On the road ranked team
    2. UGA - in the SEC Title game - On the road in Atlanta, top 5 team(This was a true neutral site game, the SEC gives half the tickets to one team and half to the other, so it is a neutral site, and the LSU faithful did show up and was about half and half, but i didn't figure it into the equation for the reasons below.)
    3. OU - Sure it was in New Orleans but it was still a road game, it was not Tiger Stadium, and there were plenty of OU fans there. (Unless you were/are color blind, New Orleans was a sea of purple and gold for the Sugar Bowl, but I left out neutral sites from that equation to equal out the Sugar and the SEC title game)

I did throw 2002 in there, with losses, to Virginia Tech, Auburn, Alabama, Arkansas as well as the win against Florida

Florida last played Ole Miss on the road in 2002, and lost 17-14, and played Miami on the road last year and lost 33-38, as well as Tennessee this year.)

EDIT: Florida was not ranked when LSU played them on Oct 12, 2002.

Well, we don't usually make all that much noise in Tigah Stadium when our offense has the ball batgirl but maybe you are right, hopefully you are.

And I do not put any stock into what has happened on the road to LSU in the past, we have to win this year on the road and we haven't done it yet. It will be a mighty good test this weekend as Sanford will be rocking. Boy I wish I was going to be there.

Could have sworn UF was ranked when LSU played them, but I could be mistaken. So I understand you were talking SEC regular season games. Not road games in general. Neutral to me means on the road. IE not in Tiger Stadium, more so in Atlanta when it was 80-20 UGA. Having been at the game I argue it was 50-50. Which I am sure any UGA fan will agree the Georgia Dome is well almost a home game for... Ironically Georgia, which you can argue is the same case for LSU in the Super Dome. The SEC does give 50 - 50 tickets, its about 1/2 the stadium as the rest are for Locals and businesses. Hence LSU vastly out numbered OU in the Sugar Bowl.

Personally 2002 is sort of old news, I would take last year and this, sure as a Tiger Fan I can have selective memory. But 2002 was a very very different team then last years and this years. Many of the players from last year field this team (D and Running backs etc etc) Big minus is QB which at this point appears to be the difference maker.

Points all well taken but had LSU played more ranked teams last year they probably would have more of an argument, aside from the fart they cut against UF, LSU has more then proved that are team that can beat anyone on any given day.

Or perhaps I didn't just start keeping up with football yesterday and realize that sacks detract from rushing yards.

There is NO WAY that half of the the georgia dome was LSU fans... I was there, and the LSU section took up anywhere from 1/8 to 1/4 of the lower sections of the stands ( i didnt see the upper sections)..... It was no where near a "true neutral site game"

jeeze... we were in heart of UGA nation....

By the way... approx. 1/4 (mabye less) of the tix go to each school in the championship game... Not 1/2 of them

I'm pretty certain Florida was ranked in 2002 when we beat them. It catapulted us into the top 10 when we beat them, and Rex Grossman was still getting Heisman buzz.
