Everyone would like to be undefeated. But we’re not. And it doesn’t hurt the playoff chances. It just sucks we lost to Florida.
No room for error now; but complaining because we’re 7-1 is a little intense considering pre-season expectations.

Yeah, I get what you’re saying. If we were undefeated, and then lose to Bama, we’d still be in NC consideration. However, to get through Miami, Auburn, FLA, and MSU, 3-1 is pretty awesome and beyond most expectations. Like Tiga’s been saying, need to beat Bama if we really want to be in NC conversation.
that’s not what you asked. you asked how much it hurt us. do i want to be undefeated? yes i do. does that loss have a tremendous effect on us getting into playoffs? nope. SEC is only getting 1 team in this year. the SEC Champ. that’s it. we ain’t winning the SEC without beating Bama. no matter what the outcome of that Florida game. if you split you cross-division games and sweep your division games, you win your division. period. there is exactly zero ways to not win the division in that scenario. we get more respect for thumping UGA than we would have for thumping UF. so IF we gonna drop a game, we dropped the exact right game on the schedule.
