You have to wonder if the girls in Tirk's avatar or sig is his actual girlfriend or not. It then makes you wonder when no girls are present, if he dumped them and moved on to the next best thing! Btw, I skipped my not so random random thought until in the morning, Superbowl sunday!
well, i just got around the increase. it cost me a pretty penny, but im done paying! for good. the idiots at xm didnt tell me when i subscribed about multi-year discounts even though i asked. (love informed operators at these places.) i just found out that not only are there multi year discounts, there is a lifetime subscription for xm everything that is $400. but for what the monthly charge is, after 2.5 years, it is free. considering i have an in dash unit in my new truck and will probably keep the truck for 10-12 years, im good. and that also includes the online access, so it is free for the lifetime i have the radio in my truck. i paid through the nose for the one time fee, but it was worth it in the long run. yeah, they just sucked the dollars outta my pocket.
yeah i have danced around buying the lifetime. I just have not faith that Sirius/XM will last for the next 2 years. It is bleeding money and subscribers thanks to the price increase and the headling of the BTLS deal. Plus they are thowing away money to people like Oprah ($50 million and she never shows up on her channel), Martha Stewart, Jamie Foxx (once again never appears on his channel.) I love the service, but i have lost complete faith in their upper management.
i think they will hang on despite the management just because it is so much better than regular radio. they may have to trim, like oprah and martha (which is fine with me) but i think the rest will be around. and as long as they last for 2.5 years, im good. :grin:
