I will concur on the white helmets - not a big fan. And I have never seen it rain in Tiger Stadium, though occasionly there is a heavy dew...
Something about me and rain in Tiger Stadium: Alabama-1977...begged my uncle and cousin for weeks to take me. Tulane-1982...The Fight Game Miss St-1993...One of the first dates with my wife. We got drenched. Missed "THE" Punt Return. LA Tech-2004...Broke up a fight in the tunnel with some drunk dude that had two little girls. I had to pull them on top of the ice machine near a concession stand to get them out of the way. Oregon St-2005...Wet t-shirts and white cotton pants for some of those coeds. I missed Fresno St because I had to work.
was it the fresno state game that was so freaking cold. and VERY duey. i remember freezing my @SS off, but stood there and screamed in the pouring rain for almost an hour waiting for the game to start! Nothing like Saturday Night in Tiger Stadium, no matter how duey
I just want to eat jambalaya at a tailgate, screw this rain stuff. I'd take rain over the humidity and heat of the '05 Tennessee game anyday.
True. Great point made. that was miserable. and then after a 21-0 halftime lead we left the stadium with a L.:angryfire
I love our traditional uniforms and HATED the ones at the Independence Bowl in '97--though I loved the game. Man, it was cold and nasty that night! Big laugh on the Big Herm references, plus they might even throw in that picture of Herman and Trindon from the Arkansas game last year. So true about the David Greene/Pollack pee wee references in '03. Another overused anecdote was Bowe's lasik story. It stopped being funny until Terry Bradshaw told the story about Bowe's "ex-girlfriend" during the Sugar Bowl. As for rain in Tiger Stadium, I remember getting rained on at my first game in Tiger Stadium as a student (against A & M in '88). At least, I think it remember it; that night had also been my first rum and Coke... And, I was in a white t-shirt at the Oregon State game--and three months pregnant. I sustained my tradition of ALWAYS being in a white t-shirt while enduring on monsoon at LSU. I can't count the number of times that happened to me going to classes while I was a student.
