Add Fire Mountain to that list... there's one in Baton Rouge (or there was) and it's pretty much the same thing.
Hey now. I LOVE a good steak, but I LOVE the way ketchup adds to it too. I will eat a steak without anything if there's no ketchup around, but I don't like A-1 or Worcestire (sp?) on it. I do use those to marinate a steak in though.
Went to Ruth's Chris. Wife ordered a filet and shoestring potatoes. She ordered the potatoes so she would have a "cover" for asking for ketchup to eat with her steak. Eats ketchup with just about anything. I don't complain, she is an excellent cook so I keep my mouth shut !
Try Italian dressing next time. When I marinade a steak, thats one of the things I use. Its good on any meat or seafood.
Chicken marinated in Italian dressing and Tony's Seasoning overnight, then rolled in Italian breadcrumbs and baked is wonderful (may have to make some of that soon, in fact.) As for ketchup on a steak? No way, Jose'.
I will. Normally I use Sam Adams, A1, Worcestire, ground cumin, pepper, salt, Tony's, and garlic powder.
