oooo..... i like that idea. but to really make it a ramen cookoff, you gotta (severely) limit how much can be spent on other ingredients.:lol:
Would have to be high enough to buy what you need. Right now Louisiana crawfish tails are going for about $16 a pound. Some other things like crabmeat are expensive too.
but to truly be ramen, it has to be affordable by students. which leaves out crawfish and crabmeat. otherwise, its just torture. i mean, how cruel is it to tell a student "here's a great way for you to fix that raman - oops, sorry you can only afford to read the recipe". or maybe two categories. student and non-student ramen.:hihi:
That was pretty cool, but who would want that kind of overhead? You'd have to sell a lot of soup to cover expenses unless some type of grant is involved.
I have never eaten a ramen noodle in my life. A girl I dated in the 80's brought some on a camping trip, but it never seemed like real food to me. I'd rather eat beanie weenies. And I don't like beanie weenies.
