Coach O has EARNED the right to have ANY OC he wants to work with. The last time an OC was demanded we got the Canada debacle. Coach E has had ONE season with Joe. Joe has improved without much Oline play. Benefit of the doubt has been EARNED from last season.
This post says it all. Extensions give recruits some level of comfort knowing they’ll be playing for the man they signed up to play for- assuming all else equal.
Extend him, but if you need to fire him, make the extension affordable. Like you said, you can put money in it; but frontload it.

Exactly. I didn’t necessarily mean it as a total slam. We have a rabid fan base. It’s a huge plus overall, especially home games. Other side of that is, well, you know.
