I think the only proper response to this is that it takes someone that is pretty insecure in what they believe to destroy the sacred items of those that believe differently, but yunno freedom. Ya gotta let the crazies be crazy and the Muslims build mosques and not give a damn.

its also nazi-esque to have trains that run on time, and awesome uniforms that look badass. just saying nazis did something doesnt make it bad.

It is just a little bit deeper than that. One would hope that people had enough sense to abstain from such childish behavior. Do I care if they burn the muslim book, no not really. I don't think they should because it may/will cause many of those working along side US Troops as well as those fighting against them to do even more dumb shyt. Sort of like that Marine regiment in nam that was cutting off the ears of the gooks they killed. In the end the whole damn regiment was wiped out. Same reason we did all we could to keep Israel from firing back on iraq during the gulf war. Doing so would have caused the coalition to fall apart because of their involvment. The sad thing is I know you already know all of this so I just wasted a few minutes typing it.

what if eating cheetos caused lunatics to kill our soldiers? should we stop eating cheetos? it isnt about what we are doing. no part of the attacks will be the fault of the book burners. 100% of the blame will be on the shoulders of those doing the attacking.

again, when i burn a koran, and you attack me, i am totally blameless. i was expressing a sentiment, i was expressing my freedom to dislike a book of lies. if you attack me you are the one that should killed. and not one ounce of the blame is mine.

korans should be burned. they are terrible things. bibles too. all books of lies should be burned by anyone, as often as they want. and soldiers should defend our rights to burn them, thats the whole point of soldiers.

You are absoultely right, it will be the "fault" of the idiot muslims. The point is mute here. Its like putting your finger in a dogs mouth and getting mad when it bites you. I'm not saying they don't have the right to burn it, however if they KNOW what the result will be then it would probably be better to realize they won't gain anything. No one is going to be more or less attracted to islam because of this. The world is just not as cut and dry as you'd like it to be.

of course! we should never worry about what offends who, only if the thing in and of itself is ok to do. burning korans is a perfectly reasonable protest, case closed.

i even kinda want to bring out the old cliche "if we x then the terrorists have already won". because if we stop protesting, burning symbols and such, expressing our opinions freely, then we are lousy excuses for americans.

if anything, these koran burners should be invited to the white house. and yes i am serious. protesting, especially when it might make you the target of crazies, is heroic.

that guy, the dutch filmaker who got killed for his anti-islam movie, he is a hero. same with salman rushdie, and even to a very tiny extent, these book burners. they are reminding us that it is ok to protest, to burn symbols of oppression, and that is really important.

It's a metal frame building with a neon cross on the front. He lives on the property and he and his wife sell furniture on Ebay.

so are you for burning all books if you so desire, or just books that have many copies and are religious?
