well its not like they can control their pac ten schedule, its not their fault the pac ten is weak, they do deserve credit for the OOC scheduling, kansas state, auburn, arky, fresno st, are pretty big schools and they do play notre dame every year, but i agree its to compensate for the weak conference schedule, but hey at leaast they're doing something

The thing that people forget about USC's run is that their rise coincided with the downfall of several programs in the Pac Ten.

Oregon was sitting up there in the top 15 for a few years with Joey Harrington and finished #2 during Carroll's first year at USC. They then sunk like a rock and are just now rebuilding.

Washington was another Pac 10 team that was a perennial force. They finished 11-1 in 2000 and were the only team to beat Miami. Then Neuheisal's career fell apart and U-Dub is now one of the worst teams in the country.

Washington State was one of the best teams in the league when Carrol showed up. The Cougs actually won the Pac Ten during Carson Palmer's senior year. Then Mike Price left, Wazzu had one more good season and are now mediocre at best.

USC has won the Pac Ten three years in a row (assuming this one). The Pac Ten had been much weaker in those three years than it was the three years before. Is that all due to USC? Of course not.

I don't care who you play, winning 33 straight games is more than impressive in today's college football...
