Bingo. I'm much more interested in this quote from Dupre: "F, F-minus," sophomore wide receiver Malachi Dupre said when asked to grade the air attack. "It's one of those things, like I was just telling the other guys. It's just one of those things you want to flush down the toilet." http://www.wafb.com/story/30194646/lsu-looks-to-improve-on-dismal-air-attack Maybe if Dupre, Dural, etc, would catch the damned ball, we wouldn't have to feed it to the running backs "75 percent of the time."
I quite agree with you and with Les who said that they should not take their number of snaps for granted. I think Chark and Quinn will get rotated in sooner and given a chance to make the catches. The bench focuses some players who aren't giving their best. I hope not. If he had a concussion they would let him play at all. But he surely seems to be in the doghouse of the new receivers coach.
Quinn has handled his demotion admirably. I also like the fact that he doesn't talk to the media, Les needs to have a conversation with Dupree and tell him to shut up. Don't talk to the media anymore unless it's scripted.
What needs to happen is they need to let Tommy Karam spend more time with the Duprees of the world so he can coach them up on how to handle the media. Reporters are always going to try to bait athletes into saying something that can be used as a gotcha moment, or be manipulated into giving "sound bites". It's a scummy thing to do, but it happens constantly and I think they have found someone in Malachi they can use to write stories. He doesn't seem to have a filter. Les needs to send em to Prof. Karam or not let them talk to the media at all.
