so this is all the explanation i needed regarding this guy... if he's not getting the ball, he's gonna pout and half-ass it around the field... i wouldn't mind if his ass got a permanent seat on the bench until he decided to transfer to be honest... this attitude is not good for a locker room... in another thread someone mentioned Landry and an article about his heart... dude is playing for the 1-3 dolphins with freaking tannehill as his qb and he giving 100% effort... this jackass is playing for a undefeated team and just had a horrible and uninspired game and he's complaining about the number of balls coming his way... FOH... stats are good but effort shows up on tape and the NFL don't want to see players give up when shit aint going their way... you not getting the ball, go block somebody and put them on their ass... that shit shows up and with his size, he would be very desirable in the league... but his 'tude and heart will not be tolerated...
As mentioned when you sign on to play for Miles you know what to expect. That said, Dupre should shut up and focus on not dropping so many passes. I have no idea how true this is, but two years ago I worked with a cousin of Dupre. After Dupre committed to LSU he said that he and other family members were trying to persuade him to signing with FSU because they had a feeling this would be happening at LSU.
like i said, if true, he should be allowed to transfer... sit out his year and go to FSU... there should be no room for a player who doesn't want to be here... just what is he going to do IF he makes it to the NFL and ends up on a team with a very good running game and no QB... or worse, no running game and no QB... you play your hardest and hope your teammates are doing the same is the answer...
Perfect example of the article taking on snip-it of the interview and making it way worse than it was. The entire interview he was taking responsibility and sounded encouraged with where the team is heading.
Like I said, I don't feel sorry for him. When sign on to LSU the last few years have proven an uber conservative offense. That said, as a competitor this type of thing is bound to happen. When your coach shows zero confidence in the passing game players tend to lose focus. Hence the tight passes from Harris and the drops.
That's why i said "if true"... i read this forum a lot and you are one of the few that seem to know more about the ins and outs of the team so this is good to hear... on another note, a good article on the L-train; http://www.nola.com/lsu/index.ssf/2015/10/leonard_fournette_lsu_eddie_co.html#incart_m-rpt-1
He is not saying anything multiple people haven't said right here in the forums. While it very clearly validates the concerns we have had about issues on offense, I had hoped that players on the team would "show a good front" when talking to the media and keep this stuff internal to the team. I can't help but feel if this is actually being aired in public that there must be a pretty big rift in the locker room. When you have a guy who is only in his 2nd year basically coming out and saying he feels lied to about how the offense was suppose to be that does not bode well. Miles needs to fix this asap. It's not just about getting players in line. This sort of stuff hurts recruiting and could push an already 1 dimensional even further in that direction. It's not just about this year but future years.
