really dude, step away from the monitor. RR wants nothing more than to coach LSU. trust. that's not even getting into the money aspect....yet.

I am blown away by how many tiger fans have Rodriguez so high on their list. I for one think his teams have underachieved. One poster commented on how expectations may have been set too high this year for WVU. If finishing ahead of BC and Pitt are setting expectations too high, then I say WVU can keep him. Exactly what has he done to be held with such high esteem?
I ask that question not as a flame but as a legitimate question. Apparently I am out of the loop with this guy.

The knock against Petrino is that he plays a weak schedule. I would say at least he is 10-1 against that schedule and really should be 11-0 but his D played one terrible half of football. WVU played a weak schedule and could not get the job done. RR will never have a better chance at a BCS bowl than he had this year.

I too like Del Rio and Tedford, but see Tedford as a really long shot. Del Rio is more realistic from what I have read. After those two I would be thrilled with Petrino.

Rodriguez was the architect of Tulane's offense the year they went 12-0. The idiots should have named him HC but didn't .... probably for the best (for him) as West Va came calling. He knows the area, is respected by La HS coaches. He is a great offensive coach. He now has what, 4, 5 years of head coaching exp at a big program under his belt. I think he would take LSU's talent and run with it. With that said, I'd probably shoot for Del Rio, Petrino and Tedford first, but, if it came to Rodriguez, I wouldn't be disappointed and I think he would be a solid hire. :geaux:

lefors got hurt the first half against miami then they went in the tank. Otherwise, they more than likely win.

WVU is a serviceable team, nothing spectacular so I see your problem with RR. They impressed last year and his stock has definitely gone up....just not LSU heights. No freaking way. He's on par with Jimbo, wouldn't you say?

i like your list in order as well. id settle for petrino 3rd. the other two are light-years ahead of the rest as far as clout. add ferentz and petrino is 4th. don't count him out if we have tedford as a possibility. ferentz is closer to a saban clone than any of the rest.

    1) del rio/tedford/ferentz

    2) petrino

    3) teri saban/steve spurrier (interchangeable)

    4) who cares at this point

Why would he want to do that?

Uh, I'm sorry, but just why does Skip feel obligated to "satisfy Nick and Sexton"?

    The real reason really is......

Skip is thinking that LSU really has the upper hand on Arkansas as of late. Why not make Arkansas officials paranoaid by requesting to speak with Nutt. This will likely make them panic and thus make his contract even more lucrative.

The whole time Skip chuckles knowing he has managed to keep Arkansas under Nutt's leadership even longer, thus maintaining the upper hand on them.

Oh.. smoke and mirrors too still... can't forget that....

Nick recommends coaches to Skip, Skip ignores him= slap in the face. Skip is a loyal bloak not wanting to offend. Who knows...people can't make wild irrational statements on this board anymore??? What is the world coming too!??!
