Biggest surprise? Tie between Jack Hunt and our Freshman RB's--stepping up when we needed them to.

On defense its got to be Jack Hunt. He has improved in all facets of the game. And phsically he must of put on 30 lbs. of meat on those bones. Last year he seemed a bit out of place with his size but this year he looks like a big ol' defensive back. And he appears in almost every defensive play downfield and on the line. Most impressive.

Offense....sorry guys I think Shyrone Carey has impressed me the most. This is another guy who put on some lbs of pure bulk and muscle and is 100% better that what we saw of him last.

Special Teams...c'mon give me Green Sky's all game long!

One game at a time..what the heck, beat Tech!

I'm really not surprised by anything any LSU player has done. These guys are part of two #1 recruiting classes by Nick Saban. If anything I would be surprised if they hadn't stepped up to the plate bigtime.

Without a doubt, it's Landry and Hunt on defense ... remember how most of us, and Saban, was worried about the safety position back in August?

Vincent and Broussard on offense ... many of us thought Addai was going to have a breakout year, not the rookies.

Green on special teams ... I'm sure Saban don't like to see players lose their job b/c of an injury, but I don't see Carey returning punts again. That's no slap on Carey, Green is simply that good!
