I could get off 3 shots a min back in the day with my 58 cal muzzle loader. You should see the damage that a 1/2 oz ball of lead does with 110 grains of black powder behind it.

honest question: how much of the problem could be solved by actually enforcing existing law?

Which law? I mean look at NY or Chicago with the most restrictive gun laws and they are enforced, its a war zone!

It’s really hard to answer. When the risk outweighs the punishment, you don’t really fear it anymore. Maybe Russian prisons are the way we should go. Apparently it’s worth removing someone from one in exchange for a gun dealer

just enforce existing law… I’m sure armed robbery has a stiffer sentence than jaywalking… put people in jail and make them serve their sentence and soon motivation will change

Jail is a lifestyle to some people.

I guess what I’m getting at, is jail isn’t much of a deterrent for a career criminal. But, we agree on the part of they should be inside and not out

yeah I get it… it’s either jail or execution and we don’t have the stomach for that…
