I dont understand why BB is so loved. A nice game but it aint football. Basketball is something that I gripe and complain all the time about it. $ is why UL is a bb school. We get lots of $ from it. AARRGGHHH!

Anyone with a clue knows football is THE best game ever played. LSU is a power house that I am jealous of and any of my fellow UofL fans that say they arent are liars just like Petrinochio.
    peace

Bullcrap from a jilted fan just like some misguided Tiger fans did when Saban was talking to Miami. LOOK! A coach who is interested in a bigger job HAS TO KEEP IT QUIET. Do you honestly think it would be BETTER for him to come out with daily updates and tell everyone "I really like it here, but here isn't as good as there?" Give me a break. You UL fans (and media...and administration) know you love him as your coach; all the other bravado comes from "jilted lover syndrome." Get over it.

Bullcrap? Hey pal you can call it whatever you want but I said how I feel. Yes I wanted to keep him, but I never have trusted him since auburn and this is all I can stand. Ive met the arrogant sob and believe it or not, he aint the nicest guy in the world but he can run a good offence. Good luck with your search.

    It's a matter of trust...

    Hi.

Louisville fans are outraged for one reason and one reason only... And it has nothing to do with LSU, at least not directly.

7 days ago Petrino got on the news and signed a new contract. He was asked about all the speculation about other jobs and he said - AS HE WAS SIGNING - "I think this puts all that to rest."

He then went on to say how much he loves Louisville... How much he want's his kids to graduate from here... How much he's looking forward to the Big East... And how he is not interested in any other job... including the LSU one.

    And everyone relaxed.

Then all this blows up and we're back where we were two years ago... Learning at HALFTIME of the GMAC bowl that our then-coach John L. Smith is leaving for Michigan State. Fast foward to last year... and just before our bowl game the Auburn fiasco shows up and there is much gnashing of teeth. So when he made those statements 7 days ago, we thought MAYBE, just maybe, we'd get through a bowl game without all this nonesense. It's not the leaving... or considering a job change... it's the timing of the whole thing. This could have VERY easily waited till Saturday.

Hope that explains why we're upset... it's the history of the whole thing.

The guy is a skunk imo based on his recent actions. I believe other coaches look at the guy the same way. Recruiting could suffer based on his actions that other coaches will use against him in courting players. 8 jobs in 13 yrs, the Auburn fiasco, and now he's flipped between ND, Florida, Louisville, and now LSU after signing a contact a week ago to stay in the course of a month. Keep him.

    Expansions

There's are future plans to expand the stadium... the problem is the funds... this is Louisville. We need a year under the arm of the Big East to get the BCS money needed for that sort of thing...

It's real easy for people to say "Put more money into your football team" and our problems will be fixed. Problem is... we're not in the SEC... or the Pac 10... or the ACC... or the Big East, yet. We're in C-USA. Our school gets a paltry million for the Liberty Bowl. BCS teams get 10 times that in their bowls. Makes it a little easier to throw the money around, yes?

I would agree Louisville fan, but 93,000 every game adds up too.

agreed. entering the big east is a great step. now if they can stay a BCS conference will be the next question. for your sake i hope they do. trust me, a few years ago when Tulame went undefeated there was a lot of bellyaching about them only going to the liberty bowl. i was living in N.O. at the time and worked with lots of greenie fans and judging by their attendance for football games, i might have worked with all the tulane fans! :hihi:

Petrino is going to have a tough time shaking perceptions about his integrity , especially when it comes to recruiting. LSU is a strong enough program, they deserve better......, of course, JMO.
