I monitor my BP by monitoring the amount of Carbs I eat. When my BP rises to 140ish over 90ish ... I cut the sugar completely, and most of the simple carbs ... BP drops to 115/75. Triclycerides disappear .. and HDL and LDL do better as well. But to speak of your case ... 139/78 could have been a stress reaction [ie., normal variation]. The 78 is normal .. the 139 is a tad high. Maybe doing the grandma routine affected you mentally, such that when you went in, your Systolic was closer to it's normal range.
Wrong. The diet coke is calorie free, and even if you do not concede that sugar is bad, which it is, then you made my argument for me by discussing longevity of calorie restricted rats.
You are outside your mind batshit crazy, there's a huge difference.... Manufactured sugar lacks all vitamins and minearls. In the process of manufacturing sugar the organic acids, protien, enzymes and vitamins in the sugar cane are destroyed. Honey has desirable nutrients and antioxidants yet more calories but no fat. However you need way less honey than sugar to achieve a higher level of sweetness. Additionally, the digestion by bees has added an enzyme to the nectar that divides the sucrose into glucose and fructose, two simple sugars for our bodies to absorb directly, resulting in a much healthier digestive system. Bottom line if its from mother earth it's way better than anything manufactured and as Tony Horton says, if its processed, canned, carbonated or if you think it's bad for you, it probably is.....possibly the dumbest thing you've ever said and to quote you "you are stupid".....thanks for reading!
All of that is either not relevant or wrong. Sugar and honey are the same sweetness by volume. Honey is natural and also bad for you in the same way that processed sugar is. The naturalness is not relevant. In general you are correct that processed food is worse, but not always. High fructose corn syrup and organic honey are basically the same thing as far as your gut is concerned. Honey is processed sugar, it doesn't matter if the processing is done by a machine in a factory or a tiny buzzy flying machine called a bee. All foods are from "mother earth". I called you stupid at some point? Sorry about that. You are not stupid, you are a delight.
Not sure if you've mentioned it previously or if I'm making this up but Charleston, SC popped into my head when I read "proper south". I don't drink tea and probably don't even know what a crumpet is, probably a result of my Cajun south upbringing.
So how much money would you need to be able to leave exactly how you wanted? I mean obviously 50 billion works but what is the number in your head that if you ever got to, you know you wouldn't have to worry about anything. When I was in high school/college, I used to think it was a huge number. Like $100 million. Now I think I could do anything I desired and not have a true want in the world with $10 million bucks.
i am in fact from south carolina and spent my first summers at charleston. a crumpet is like a child of an english muffin and a pancake, and is superior to both.
friday night i went to some charity function and i won all sorts of raffle stuff (i am lucky as fuck). i won some gift certificates to a running store, which is fantastic, and some other shit, along with some tea-making supplies. of f the tings in the package was various tea. one of the teas was "passion". i brewed it and it may be the least tea-like substance i have ever consumed. i am gonna stick to earl grey like a goddamn gentleman. wtf is this passion shit? its purple for chissakes!
