Where in these 4 pages of bs did I say that Hatch should be the starter? In my first post I said lets see what JJ can do against USC before UGA comes to town!
no defense gets worn out in a 1st quarter, man... you're nitpicking... Florida's 1st drive was like 40 seconds, too... What was the excuse then? I understand your point that he didn't play well early I just do not understand your point about how someone else would have done better. How would Hatch have avoided that bad start? He wouldn't have. See also: Auburn game when LSU couldn't do anything on offense until the third quarter.
I was referring to both Jefferson and Hatch as guys who can't throw at all. I've seen Jefferson against an SEC defense (in practice). There's a reason why he is in third place.
I'm a LSU fan i give 2 ****s who is in the game as long as that person is the best opition!!!!!! And the ONLY drum I beat last year was the "Running Back by Campus" style!
C'mon Crip, I know you better than this. JJ has 1 career pass attempt (incomplete, not really close on a screen to a RB since we're discussing accuracy), and only one other snap against an SEC defense (one where he missread the Moo U LB or he could have scored). I know you don't want him running the offense right now. Lee, while not perfect is our best option right now. And yes, I do think his inexperience is a reason for his passes to be off target. He's still rushing things (a result of in experieence). He still overthtows guy because he hasn't gotten control if his emotions (a result of inexperience). Right now, the game is still moving a little faster than he can process it, so he's attempting to overcompensate with his arm. This will get better as he matures.
I havent seen Jefferson play so I dont know! What I do know is Hatch cant throw the ball farther then 10 yards down the field. And Lee Can not hit a reciever while that reciever is in STRIDE! We have to much speed at that position to have them having to stop or breaking off routes or jumping 5 feet in the air or breaking stride to try and catch bad passes. I would love to know what our YAC is the past 3 games.
I'm not sure, but Lafell, alone, has had some great YAC. We are not going to agree on this obviously, and I don't want to argue about this, but Lee is not nearly as bad as you seem to think he is. He is, however, a RS Freshman. There will be growing pains.
i do know lafell schooled that #5 Haden all night long. that was a serious mismatch. that mismatch will still be there if we happen to meet them again somewhere down the line.
Trust me, for a RSFR, Lee is doing just fine. I am very satisfied with his progress. We obviously have to be well balanced in our attack, having Scott running for 35 yards on 12 carries will not get us in the winners circle too often. That will not happen again this season. Scott will come back with a vengeance from here on out. Crowton is a genius. He will get us back smooth sailing.
