    :hihi:

Despite having a few adult beverages Saturday night, I had to watch it again later before I could even sleep. I tend to watch the game in real time too much like a fan and follow the ball. Watching it after made me feel better about why we did badly.

I know we have the horses to run with them and if we are lucky enough to meet them again this year, we can beat them. Will we? The next few games should answer that.

So Dude, what makes you feel better? I'm like you, I watch the replay without following the ball as much, but like I Red, I can't bring myself to watch this one.

I erased the game from my DVR somewhere around the beginning of the 4th quarter. I knew I wouldn't want to watch it again.

I saw that we got outschemed, outcoached, and in several instances just players reacting poorly.

    1) Every time we lined up in the I formation, Florida slammed 8 in the box, and truly keyed on our fullback. That play was doomed every time we ran it, even if all the blocks got hit correctly(and they didn't).

    2) Black and Johnson made more mistakes than I have ever seen from them. When they pulled and got in front of the ball, they frequently missed their blocks or gave up on them too soon.

    3) Florida often overloaded one side of the line and made plays. With the noise level, it appeared difficult to audible out of it.

    4) Defense rarely got pressure on Tebow. Nevis/Alexander were double teamed quite a bit. Favorite didn't really play too well. Containment from our DEs was as poor as I have seen it. Lots of overruns on plays, or bad angles. Overall passion seemed to wane as the game went on. Our LBs rarely blitzed. Safeties and corners did not at all that I saw. When the LBs blitzed, they clogged gaps, but did not shoot to the backfield. Tebow is very good at disguising his intentions of running, passing or handing the ball off, and also moved the pocket well. Their speed backs obviously had us gunshy and that little hesitation amounted to big plays.

    5) Our safeties made several coverage errors. Look for more changes there.

Overall, I don't believe we were out gunned, but ill prepared, and adjustments were either not made, or not followed. I think the film study will be excellent examples of what not to do, from the staff on down to special teams.

It all looks correctable to me.

That's a good point that some folks seem to be forgetting.

As far as the 80% goes, that's FAR FAR FAR too inaccurate. You don't at all take into the situation. What if the reason the WR broke off the route was because our O-Line didn't hold the pocket and Lee was forced to scramble? what if the reason they had to turn around completely was because they turned the wrong way to begin with and Lee was trying to get the ball the to in the wrong position or noticed they went wrong and still tried to get the ball to them. What if the reason they had to jump so high was because Lee kept getting hit as he threw the ball?

Here's the truth: You're allowing your emotions to get the better of you and so you're skewering stats to try and put blame where it doesn't belong.

It's been said before, but it needs to be said again: LSU fans favorite player is the backup QB. You'd think after the last 2 times they'd have learned to keep quiet about calling for new QB's too early.

As far as YAC goes, that's another bunk statement on your part. If you haven't noticed, since your theory about Lee has been disproved whenever REAL stats were shown the only basis you've had to continue on this crusade was by bringing up 2 things that are not quantifiable, and then trying to present them like they were.

They're a lot of factors that affect ball placement and YAC, many of which have nothing to do with the QB. Yet you trying to pin it all on Lee without any basis is again, your emoions getting the better of you.

Look at the stats I posted again. There's not an individual YAC stat, but there is a TOTAL yards stat which takes into account YAC. When looking at that stat, it shows Lee is throwing for almost 40 yards more per game than Matthew Stafford was his first season.

Also, he's still passing for almost 60% comps. Say what you want about missed balled or over thrown or under thrown or broken routes, but if he really was innaccuate 80% of the time, then there's no way his completion % would be BETTER than Matthew Stafford's 2 years in a row and only 3% off of Tim Tebow's current %.

Please, re-evaluate your position on the QB situation because I truly think you're not thinking clear headed on this one. Lee IS our BEST Quaterback and he's going to be a great one before he leaves.

Ok which one of us does a weekly LSU sports show...I think I understand where my notes and stats come from and take those things into consideration.

But since you ONLY have 300 post in 3 years I guess that is understandable.

Oh and considering that MOST of our passes now are of the 20 to 10 yard range and are drags/slants/crossing routes the chances of the WR turning the WRONG are cut down.

Nope the truth just hurts sometimes AND I take my Purple Glasses off when something isnt right!

I said without the ABLILTY to get the YAC like we have gotten in the past we will not see that Game Breaking "BIG PLAY"

And if a WR has to stop or jump up in the air to catch an errant pass then that cuts down the chances of OUR WRs using their SPEED to get that "BIG PLAY"

Right and comparing stats of 2 different teams is so much more tangable.

Again comparing 3 different styles of play PROVES NOTHING as far as how a QB is doing in the given situation!

See thats the great thing, I am able to be a huge fan of my Tigers without having to watch the games through purple glasses or drinking the Kool Aid everytime I am thirsty.

But I will make a deal with you since you think I am so wrong.

At the end of this season we revisit this, if you are wrong about Lee you must present yourself before the board and admit to one and all that you have no idea about the game of football, and more specifically the QB position. And if I am wrong I will do the same!
