I tell you hon, I've read on some other forums, and I don't think there were any female posters there. They don't have near as much fun as we do over here!!! We're like sauce piquante, a rare mix, if you know what I mean... Little story about sauce piquante. When I was a kid, my Dad and some neighbors went frogging and brought back a bunch of big bullfrogs. We cut off the legs for frying, and cleaned them up and made a sauce piquante out of the frog backs. Best meal of my life it seems, fresh fried frog legs, and a scrumptious frog back sauce piquante served over plenty of rice!!! WOW. I still remember it 40 years later.
I agree with you. Could not have said it better myself. I try to be nice and thoughtful about what I post on Tiger Forums. I sure have learned a lot about Tiger Football here. Thanks! Exaclty how I feel.
what. are we running for office? i try to give no value to presentation. you might as well just say "if you arent going to say something nice, dont say anything at all" its all about the point being made.
I would like to run for president of all 3 groups. Should i win i promise to bore the hell out of every single person on this forum. I am sure i can count on your vote Grad Right !!! LOL I still say we should have rescended Keilands scholarship offer. Boy did i catch hec for that one. I will admit i am wrong to you people on occasion but i will never admit that to my wife !
I lurked on a few LSU boards before deciding to get involved here. I finally got involved here, in large part, because of the quality of discussion, the lack of junk/useless smack, and the quality of the average poster. The posters and mods seem to be committed to keeping this place relatively sane despite the various personality types and viewpoints. That said, I still lurk on other boards. You have to weed through a ton of absolute **** to find anything of value, but at times it's worth it. As funny as this place is (another reason I joined in the discussion), the funniest thing I've read in a long time was a suggestion by someone on another board (in a stupid, stupid, stupid thread about whether or not Miles should shake Saban's hand after the game in two weeks :dis: ). One poster said that Miles should act like he's going to shake Saban's hand, then do the "you can't see me" hand thingie and sprint off to the locker room. It was a good joke on a stupid thread, and I'm still laughing visualizing it.
Those 3 categories don't define Tigerforums posters - they define internet forum posters. Something about internet forums attract "they sky is falling" types. Every forum for every team gets them, but we have very few. We also don't have over-board cheerleaders. Our forum is mostly made up of realists with a cheerleader lean (as it should be - being an LSU board). There's very little junk on TF. Threads mostly stay on track & contain worth-while discussion, which is what I enjoy about it.
