Also, I am disappointed that the smart*** group was not recognized. Upon further consideration, this entire thread is a disappointment. Well, with the exception of my posts of course.

Here's my take. If you want to have objective conversation about Tiger football, that's fine. But I hate for these 'sky is falling' people to come out of the wood works talking about how bad we suck because we should've beaten <insert team here> by 56 points instead of the 3-4 points we actually beat them by. It's all in the way it's presented. For ex:

"Great game, but I'm concerned about our receivers dropping easy passes going forward" is alot better than "Lafell sucks, why is he still out there."

If it's presented in the second example described above, I'll call people out for it every time.

HIGH COMPLIMENTS! Thanks for the post of the day, maybe the post of the week. The things you cite are the reasons I choose to post here. This is the only board I post on for sports, and it is the quality of discussion I enjoy. The variety of personalities, the spats, but the desire to make it work out some crazy way, I find very interesting. I think the core of the board is "objectives" and we glue to two extremities together.

I enjoy the fact that we a chosen by some of our SEC bretheren (some would say enemies because they are from Auburn or Bama) is a big reason I stay here. If you make good sense, are reasonably respectful of others, you can have your say. Someone may take a shot, but if its a reasonable post, some other reasonable person will recognize it and support the reasonable position. It won't make a difference if it came from an Aubie, a Tider, or a Tiger. That is remarkable for most sports boards I've visited to read. I only check the ones we list on our Rivals Forums at the top of the page.

I like our female posters, they add diversity and spice to our forum, and keep our language mostly civil (unless you've been in the Chat Room with Okie! :hihi: ).

I enjoy our crazy little acre of cyberspace. Its the participants and mods that make it this way!

MauiTiger, good post for an off week topic. I can't go on Bama for 2 weeks.

Those are the mainstream types on the forum for sure. But the Cheerleaders and the Pessimists aren't the extremists, there are two groups out there beyond them.

Beyond the Cheerleaders are the SUNSHINE PUMPERS who are always pumping sunshine up your chute. "We'll show 'em! Geaux Tigers!!!"

Beyond the Pessimists are the WHINING BASTARDS, some of whom are trolls.
