JaMarcus was the #1 QB coming out of high school and hasn't shown anything other than a rocket arm and the ability to not read what the defenses are showing him. If he were not rated as high as he was coming out of HS, I would cut him some more slack. Why did people want to get rid of Booty so bad? He was a stud in high school, had the physical tools, yet lacked what it took to win the big games. Rohan got his chance and did suck at first, however he became one of the greatest QBs at LSU. Look at Ainge and Schaffer from Tenn., Henne from Michigan, and Brohm from Louisville. With the exception of Brohm, none of these men were ranked in the likes of JaMarcus, yet they are all having better freshman seasons. They are all TRUE FRESHMAN, by the way. Flynn deserves his shot. Until we see what he can do, people will be on his bandwagon. He may comeout and look like an All-American. On the other hand, he may not.
Was the O-lines pass blocking really that atrocious? I didn't have the benenfit of TV replays and Jumbotron was grainy, but it seemed to be that most of the time there was pressure on JM was because of blitzes and there was not enough people in to block everyone they were sending. O-line this year has been a real mystery to me. First, they couldn't run block or pass block. Then, it seemed pass blocking improved, but we still couldn't run. Now if what you guys are saying is true, it seems the run blocking is lights out, but we can't pass block. I guess they're like the play at Qb. The most consistent thing about them is their inconsistentcy
Sometimes the o line was horrible...other times JR had time to throw....but seemed really indecisive?!!?
