There SHOULD be NO QB Controversy. I saw NUMEROUS posts here about how Miles is a GENIUS with his play calls last Saturday. So, with that being said, shouldn't you let the GENIUS handle the team, assignments, and plays? No harm meant,,,,,,but I think that's a DUMBAZZ question.
Wow, I guess that means this thread is over. C U tomorrow when we can discuss the Linebacker Controversy. :hihi:
I don't feel like reading six pages to say what I have to say, and that simply is that Lee is the guy...and he should be. The dude was very highly touted out of high school. Can't remember if he was four or five star, but it doesn't matter. This guy's been studying the playbook since last season and I'm sure it's memorized. He had a stellar game against AU and is confident right now. State is just a game where he'll get more experience, reps, confidence, et cetera... right now. Has LSU ever been in this position with a frosh QB (redshirt or not)? What, again, are Hatch's credentials as a QB? I really don't remember anything except him being a mormon and breaking some bone(s) playing soccer in South America. Oh and he went to Yale.. or Harvard.. or something. No offense to the guy, but I've been screaming for Lee ever since the Perrilloux debacle--oh and Ryan's really tearing it up in the OVC too. Go Ryan. :nope: Seriously.
thats what money will do to ya (quick money at that age, i should say, lest i be labelled an envious liberal)
There is no controversy. Lee is our undisputed leader and will not be looking back from this point on. Hatch is now reduced to the Ryan Perrilloux of last year. Nice little change of direction running the option. That should be the way it plays out from this point on. Wanna keep the defense honest? Only Lee provides that benefit.
I thought from day one of camp, that Lee would be the leader of the offense. I posted before the season, that Lee would take over, after Hatch would falter. Lee is the prototype "Matt Flynn" QB, He has the desire to get the tough plays executed properly. His father is a perfectionist to say the least. Lee wants to be the guy that leads LSU back to a championship. He may have bumps and bruises along the way, But as we all were witness last Saturday...He is most definitely capable of taking us to the next level. Now on the Hatch injury in the game Saturday...Watch the replay of the highlights on youtube...You'll see Larry Porter waving his arms straight down, telling Hatch to GET DOWN...after his hit from AU Powers. He was really hurt, but that was the only way to get Lee into the game without taking a T.O.
"Andrew could have completed the same passes Jarrett did," LSU offensive coordinator Gary Crowton said. Anybody believe this?
It's still too early, folks. Hatch ran for 40 yards in half a game against Auburn (51 if you negate two sacks). Hatch didn't throw a pick six. I'm optimistic about Lee as well. But to say that Lee won the job outright on one half of play? Unless Hatch is hurt, I don't think the job competition is over -it may not be this year.
