I'm not in the ATL, but I would be in Pasadena with you brother. Yeah, I don't know where tonight came from.........I'm glad it happened though cause I think we all needed it....including Les. It'll be a much better offseason with that than Iowa last year huh?

That was the best game performance by the whole team the entire season. Matt was superb, partly thanks to the rest of the offense finally stepping up. One thought is that Matt's style of game management is much more smooth; I wonder if there was also better football chemistry between him , the receivers and the rest of the offense, and the smarter reads by Flynn.

JR is good, and particularly excels with ad lib plays. His decision making is not as quick as Matt's.

I am glad Flynn finally got the chance to show what he has in the big scene with the national audience. He deserves it.

I would definitely not be upset if Flynn gets to start next season, IF he doesn't transfer. I will take a smarter QB anytime ( by that I do not mean JR is "stupid", just that I think MF has a better style running the game).

Nope. USC/UT were #1/#2 all year. Nothing could be done, even undefeated, IMO.

11 wins? Man I'm with you. Great, great accomplishment.

I wish spring would come already. I don't want to wait for two or three months for this QB controversy to play out. I am a massive JR supporter, but if Flynn wins the job he should start. Nothing should be based on upside or potential imo. I don't think it ever was.

Exactly, nothing should be based on upside potential. That's why I prefer MF over JR despite the physical attributes of JR. Despite the lack of game experience, MF's game management and reads appear more polished than JR's, when JR had a lot lot more game experience. Yes, JR has a cannon of an arm with ability to shot bullits. One thing that has always puzzled me the last season is that he somehow doesn't connect well with the receivers; you can say that the receivers are underperforming, but I wonder if it works both ways. I would love to take a poll from the receivers to see whom they would like to catch a ball from : MF vs JR. One thing that comes to mind is that so often the receivers that were open were never seen by JR who tends to just focus on the primary receiver, causing a lot of receiver FRUSTRATION. I really do not like the short range nose diving balls that JR tends to throw. I had wondered whether the reason that JR doesn't throw much in the middle was due to his pass ability. From the game last night, MF has better play action, no bone head plays, quick decision making and running ability that adds another dimension to the offense. He is a double threat QB that can keep the defense honest.

I would also like the poll the offensive unit to see who they feel has better game leadership. I can bet on it that they will play better around whoever they have more confidence in.

A problem is having no QB's. We have three and its going to be interesting.

Watched him play through HS. Simply amazing. BUT, I am sure Matt and JR were amazing also. Ryan can move. ESJ ran an unstoppable play. Ryan in shotgun. Run Right, left or up the middle. For a mix, throw it 50 yards. Simple offense. If he gets shut out of the QB race, he just has to get into the game, returner, receiver or DB.

I am also excited about RP. If he can absorb the playbook and study the game at a higher level, he will be mighty interesting. I hope he methodically progress with his learning of the game(and I believe he is), and not worry whether he starts playing or not. Good things will come to him when he's there.
