Hey you can make crap up if you want dude. No one on here said to bench Russell. Just play it fair....based on who can win games and manage a game. Not based on someone's potential or if they can throw the ball 75 yards from their knees. Hey I can fart the theme from JAWS but that wins me how many games at QB? You see the **** you're shoveling?
Hey, did anyone hear the Swann/Miles interview at the end of the game? :hihi: (just trying to change the subject here)
To be honest, IMO, we haven't looked that good since we beat Arkansas like a drum the game Hal Hunter coached after Dinardo got fired. And that was a pretty good Arkansas team we beat.......we were 2-9 before that under Dinardo. Anyone remember that game? Anything we did tonight was like butta!
I think Flynn played about as perfect of a ball game as he could. Nearly flawless after the first quarter. Props to him. I'm glad to see that our backup can come in and win if we need him, but that's what he is until JR is gone, the backup. I will say this, it would not surprise me at all if we played them both next year all season. The offensive line played their best game of the year I thought, and our receivers actually made some catches that were not actually good throws, which they have not done all season. That one has to go to the coaches, they had this team ready to play from all aspects of the game.
Yeah I heard it........"We knew this would happen...Flynn was capable", Miles said while gritting teeth. That kinda stuff. I saw Jordy grab him right after he walked away. What did Lester have to say to Jordy I wonder?
IMO, it was amazing how good the O-line is once Miami had no idea what was coming at them. Would we throw on first down, run it, run a draw, a screen.....that's why Addai ran for 100 at the half. Then when we went up 27-3, Miami gave up.
I don't know. One of the the things I love about Miles, and I really didn't notice this until homertiger pointed it out to me, is that he never, and I mean never, says anything negative. No matter what he's positive. I'm so happy for him and his family. I believe him to be a very good person and this was a great win for him and our program.
I was very skeptical about Miles to be honest. Tired of hearing about the hurricanes and crap. But to be honest, after tonight's exhibition, without the 11-straight weeks with a game thing, who knows what we could have done. And for Marine, I mean that with Flynn, Russell or Red at QB.
Exactly. Whoever was calling plays tonight did it right. With that offense we ran, which in case someone missed it was completely different than anything we have done all year, called a near perfect game. Same type playcalling all season and we are undefeated and chillin at the Rose Bowl pregame parties tonight instead of waxing the Canes.
