I tell you what, I'm a Flynn fan tonight. The young man played just about a perfect game against a very good Miami defense. He may very well be the best game time QB between him and Russell. He looked like it tonight anyway.

Think this is the last of it qb discussion , what would you like to talk about oh maybe cooking CORNBREAD FOR THE DRESSING
« Thread Started on Dec 11, 2005, 4:47pm »The Cornbread:

3 tablespoons bacon drippings
2 large eggs
1-1/2 cups corn meal
1 tea spoon salt
1/2 tea spoon baking soda
1 tea spoon baking powder
1-1/4 cups buttermilk
Preheat oven to 450°F.
Put the bacon drippings in a 9x13-inch baking dish and put it in the oven while it is preheating. The drippings will melt while you're mixing up the batter.

Beat the eggs in a medium bowl until frothy. Add the corn meal, salt, baking soda and baking powder, and stir to combine. Add the buttermilk and stir well. Remove the hot dish from the oven. Swirl the dish to coat it with melted bacon drippings, pour the bacon drippings into the batter and stir to combine.

Pour the batter into the pan, and bake 20 to 25 minutes. The cornbread will begin to pull away from the sides of the pan.

Make the cornbread a day before you intend to make your dressing. Leave it out, uncovered, overnight.

MT, let me just sum this QB contreversey up with one comment.

We had a total offense tonight. Only game I saw that we played even half this good was Ole Miss. and they sucked.

What was different? call it like you see it, I do.

Time out Craig. Flynn's the man and with the confidence and ability he showed tonight, I believe the starting job will be his to lose next year. Let's enjoy a great win that will be talked about for years to come and not go off on each other. Not tonight anyway. :thumb:

So Flynn is not as athletic as Russell? Seems to me he was more athletic. Can evade, run.....oh, I don't know, get outside a hash mark to throw the ball away. You'd have to mean "as strong a arm as Russell." He threw a 50 yard TD tonight. Cause I don't know what you saw tonight to make you think Russell is more athletic. Russell is more of a corpse in the pocket....

I guess we will see heading into the spring then.

I think with either Flynn/Russell we are in good hands. But unlike you all, I don't think it Russell will lie dead this off-season and give up the starting job with ease.

I agree dude. I told my wife just I told these homos....a fair competition where someone's potential or upside isn't what gets them the nod but their actual game management and play. Then chucko wants to make a beef. I agree, best night all season was tonight.

I hope not. It makes everyone better by having a close race.

You know I've questioned Russel as much as anyone here, but man don't go off on everyone. You are probably right but people have opinions. No reason to start a feud, hey enjoy the win.
