Gotta disagree with ya' there. To me,white jerseys and night games at home are traditions that make LSU football unique and college football great.

I love the whites. They have been LSU's traditional home jerseys since the 1950s (with that unfortunate NCAA-mandated interlude in the 80s & 90s). You may recall that during the Charlie Mac era, wearing purple was a horrible bad luck talisman (as was playing on the road, playing in daytime, playing in the rain, etc.). Florida made us wear purple in Gainesville long before Spurrier was there. My problem with the purple jerseys is the "gold" and white striping. The "UCLA style" stripes work great on the white jerseys but translate poorly to the purple. If LSU wears purple, I would rather see them go the route of the Vikings, sort of like this:

I prefer the purple jerseys, also. I tend to associate them with the very successful six year stretch from '84-'88 rather than the later dark ages under Curley Hallman. Also, they just look good. I don't believe in bad luck; if you have better execution and coaching, you'll win, no matter what you're wearing.
