I personally prefer the white jerseys far and away. If they want to wear purples for a few home non-conference games, fine. But what I would like to see them do is redesign the purple jerseys. The yellow-white-yellow stripe on the shoulders (actually, now it is more of a patch than a stripe) just doesn't look good to me. The Vikings uniform is a good example. On their white uniforms they wear the shoulder stripes, but they don't on their purples. Anyway, I agree that it doesn't matter what jersey they wear. It matters what kind of athlete is inside that jersey.
I live in the midwest and many of the folks tell me they really like both our purple and white jerseys. Many have said they think the helmets are by far the sharpest looking. I like the white, but as long as they win I don't care which jersey they wear.
I like the purple better myself, and I don't believe in jinxs at all. BUT!!! Why take the chance for THIS game. I am glad we are wearing white!!!
Our "traditional" uniforms, including the white jerseys are about the sharpest looking uniforms in all of college football, IMO. But then, I grew up watching the Tigers play in them in the 60s and 70s. And, thank GAWD our team is never in all white, like some other schools wear on the road! The rule is this: Visiting teams are to wear white jerseys. A team may choose to wear white for any of its home games, provided that they notify the opposing team prior to the start of the season and the opposing team does not object. The Tigers will wear the WHITE jerseys against Georgia. And, I don't see Saban following the paths of Mike Archer and Gerry D. Good Guys 13 Not as Good Guys 10
I prefer the white jerseys and gold pants for every game. The fact is that unlike Curley the Stooge Hallman or Dinardo Nick Saban will have the Tigers ready to play even if LSU comes up with their own version of the Oregon Ducks pukey looking unis. Its not the uniform on the man, its the man in the uniform
