I was walking in Nice, France wearing a LSU shirt and ran into someone wearing a LSU hat. We had lunch and talked and while we were doing so some girls came up to us doing the Florida gator chomping motion.
That is absolutely one of the gayest things I've ever seen. I get the strong urge to break some arms when I see people doing that. They have no idea how asinine they look. Anyway, I'm not very well-traveled. But the most obscure place I've seen the P&G was when I was snowboarding on Mt. Sierra Blanca in Ruidoso, New Mexico. It's not a huge resort or anything, and it's really in the middle of nowhere. Just about everyone that goes there is from Mexico, Arizona, or New Mexico. While in line on one of the lifts, my girlfriend and I saw a dude walk by with an LSU snowcap, and naturally started chanting 'L-S-U'. He was pleased lol.
My job requires a fair amount of travel, both in the US and overseas. A couple of years ago I was riding the Tube in London wearing a LSU shirt. A couple got on the Tube at a stop, the guy looked at the shirt, said "Geaux Tigers". They were from Lafayette on vacation. I've had similar experiences just about everywhere I travel. I've got a trip scheduled to CA in late October and I'm packing all of my LSU polos for the trip
:helmet: Driving my car with LSU plates on an interstate in St. Louis, MO. A car next to me kept blowing their horn. When he caught up to me, he pointed to his hat and yelled "Geaux Tigers"..... :helmet:
Every office I visit has "casual Fridays". My Friday uniform is always a gold polo with the 2003 Nokia Sugar Bowl logo. My boss lives in New Jersey. His 8 year old's favorite tee shirt is a purple one with LSU on the front. Where ever did he get that? :hihi: :hihi:
I see stuff here in Houston daily, but I seem to remember a reference in an old print edition (years ago) of Tiger Rag of someone who was vacationing in Europe and saw some kid in Holland wearing an LSU tee. Maybe it was Geert's cousin or something, I dunno.
