Per the link I provided, you raised a very cogent question: "As far as anyone knows, there's never been a 6-6 guy or a 242-pounder who ran 4.37 in the 40. Jones is both 6-6 and 242 pounds."
Good job, I forgot about Jones. He was actually timed at 4.37. He has been a real let down in the NFL.
When they played the Saints in NO I sat by some Jag fans and they said he was suspose to get some playing time at QB when Garrod was injured and said he really wants a shot at QB in the NFL.( not saying that is a excuse)
I don't think so but I believe the consensus is that it will be February 2. However, "firm visit date" in the context of high school football recruiting is a very relative term.
His coach is urging him to take the Oregon and LSU visits. If I had to guess, he doesn't go to Oregon, but still comes to LSU on the 2nd.
It would be cool if his last visit is LSU. You never know what might happen. Too bad he could not experience Tiger Stadium. But I'm sure he's been told and has seen it on TV.
Pryor is going to Oregon. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2008/writers/stewart_mandel/01/23/pryor.oregon/index.html There is no mention of LSU in this just released update. Has he dropped LSU?
