It was Christ who said it not the Church: Gospel Mt 19:3-12 Some Pharisees approached Jesus, and tested him, saying, "Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any cause whatever?" He said in reply, "Have you not read that from the beginning the Creator made them male and female and said, For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh? So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore, what God has joined together, man must not separate." They said to him, "Then why did Moses command that the man give the woman a bill of divorce and dismiss her?" He said to them, "Because of the hardness of your hearts Moses allowed you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it was not so. I say to you, whoever divorces his wife (unless the marriage is unlawful) and marries another commits adultery." His disciples said to him, "If that is the case of a man with his wife, it is better not to marry." He answered, "Not all can accept this word, but only those to whom that is granted. Some are incapable of marriage because they were born so; some, because they were made so by others; some, because they have renounced marriage for the sake of the Kingdom of heaven. Whoever can accept this ought to accept it." My point being, its easy to blame the Church when its something we don't like, but the Church is following Christ's teachings.

i have exprerence with the 7th day adventist, that church is a loony bin. the people are just searching for something they cant find elsewhere and are mostly good people. And that is true about most organized religions
There is a church my wife and I go to. Its very low key. Guy doesn't even ask for money. They are very involved though. Lots of small groups, community work and frankly, a lot of the families just hang out together and do things with the kids. Our kids are home-schooled because of the gymnastics deal so she spends some time with the other moms that attend that church. Its really not all that bad. The guy mostly just talks about normal every day things and ends up sounding more like Tony Robbins than a pastor. I grew up Catholic as well. Was supper involved until I got kicked out of the youth group because they found out while in high-school I drank beer at parties lol. I was like, do you know how many sluts attend your school? In any-case, that was the last of that for me.
Yeah I stopped after I got married. The priest that married us just creeped me out. He was telling me in front of my wife it’s a sin for me to bust a load anywhere except inside her. That shit was just creepy. I didn’t have the guts to say what about in her mouth or on her tits.
